Oh Fer F@#$ks sake. After WWII we agreed to be the Worlds policeman in return for the world using the U.S. dollar as it's reserve currency for trade. We benefited GREATLY from that agreement. As did the rest of the world. It ushered in one of the greatest and longest lasting episodes of peace and prosperity and trade the world has ever seen. We're not "broke and deteriorating".
