I’ve never understood the lack of love from the usda and NRD’s for alfalfa.
1. Deep rooted nutrient scavenger.
2. Perennial plant.
3. Usually ends up needing less irrigation water.
4. Very little runoff/erosion risk.
5. Fairly high value feed source.
