Coil, temperature control, and flow switch could be potential issues if they are only rated for 3000 psi but not 4000. The easiest solution to lower the pressure is to change to a larger tip. The pump is a constant displacement and if you go to a larger sized spray tip you can drop the pressure to 3000 psi.
