Rye end is certainly doable. Not very much grazing until now for me along hwy 36 in Kansas. Drilled in August and grazed to putting green height in the fall. About ready to turnout now.
Sorghum/sudan seems like a good one but I am very leary of nitrate problems in dry weather and prussic acid right after a freeze.
