Paxton, IL | The sensors are held on to the seed tube with a couple small zip ties. Double check that both zip ties are in place and the 2 sensor halves are aligned properly. I've had a broken zip tie and misaligned sensors cause all types of funny readings in the past. If you are getting errors saying the sensor isn't detected, then that is a bad sensor or wiring issue. Trying to track down a sensor wiring harness issue on those early 1200 planters could be a real pain.
I'm not sure if anyone is making any aftermarket sensors for these yet. It seems like I might have seen some at one point, but I don't think the price was much different than through Case IH. | |
